Brock Pride

This is the official Brock University Club devoted to creating a safe, social environment for individuals and friends of diverse gender and sexual identities. This will be the Brock Pride's main form of communication to Brock Pride members and the community about anything Brock Pride related.

Brock Pride has weekly drop in times where you'll be guaranteed to find a Brock Pride exec to chat and hang out with. Anything you need to tell us you can tell us there, and any questions you need to ask you can ask there: a guaranteed safe space for all meeting times are:
Mondays, 3:30-5pm, in Thistle 241
Wednesdays, 4:30-6pm, in MCC 303.

These are the four founding principles of the Brock University Student Justice Centre, which does not exist yet - but WILL. With YOUR help!

The Student Justice Centre for EASE will incorporate these four core values into one resource available for ALL students at Brock. It will be a haven for those suffering from any kind of discrimination, prejudice, harrassment or assault; it will provide a Safe Space room, useable by anyone in need; it will educate, providing programming and workshops, as well as funding to other groups wishing to run programming of their own; and most importantly, it will bring Brock University back up to speed with the rest of the province.

Help bring Brock in line with 2010 and say YES to the Student Justice Centre, funded by a mere 85 cent per credit fee! Make Brock University a safe space for all!

Wednesday, February 3:

Unlike last semester, these will simply be drop-in times where you'll be guaranteed to find a Brock Pride exec to chat and hang out with. Anything you need to tell us you can tell us there, and any questions you need to ask you can ask there: a guaranteed safe space for all.

These meetings will be: - Mondays, 3:30-5pm, in Thistle 241 - and Wednesdays, 4:30-6pm, in MCC 300

Anything important, such as elections, will be discussed and will take place at these meetings as well.

The Stag Shop Galleria, the Film Fest and the DANCE are all coming up quick, so keep checking back for details!

Monday, January 18:

As was pointed out at the end of last semester, our meetings will be moving in both time and place! The time has yet to be decided, so stay tuned, but the place will be the History/Pride Lounge over at Glenridge 209!

Also, it looks like we're (finally) going to be able to order this year's t-shirts, so keep your eyes peeled for our design choices and be ready to vote for your top two selections!

Monday, October 12:

The Steering Committee for the Pride dance is still wide open, so if anyone is interested, send along an email!

There is talk in the wind that Brock Pride may end up with a space after all, though I won't say where and when. If this happens, I guarantee you'll be hearing about it, so stay tuned!

Also, we will be re-ordering Brock Pride T-Shirts soon, so if you want one, send us an email! You'll get a few pictures of designs before we make the final order, and you'll have a chance to vote!
